Well this isn’t your regular photo blog post.
It won’t be loaded with lots of awesome cool photos from different locations, filled with fabulous people.
This blog post is more about the reality of life, and how it plays it’s role with my wedding photography.
It’s a mixed bag of feelings this wedding photography. It’s always great when I get new couples choosing me to shoot their wedding day, and essentially build a new friendship with them. It’s even more awesome when the couples are a referral.
Sonya was a bridesmaid at one of my weddings I shot last year, and when Matt proposed to her (which was one of the most unexpected moments in Sonya’s life) she messaged me within a matter of days to let me know they want me to come with them on their Dominican adventure
. So it does make meĀ sad that I would not be going with Sonya and Matt to their destination wedding in January 2011.
However, it isn’t all sad. The reason why I won’t be sharing their awesome wedding week with them is because the week we’re supposed to be in Punta Cana my wife and I are expecting our first born.
It always breaks my heart when I’m unable to shoot someone’s wedding, whether it’s locally in the Toronto area, or a destination wedding like Sonya and Matt’s.
With all things considered, it’s all for the right reasons.
While this blog post may not have a ton of images, it does have one. A single image that changes everything. A single image that can evoke all emotions known to man.
A single image that for us means, our lives will never be the same.
